Greens & Growth: Bare Blends Bare Greens Powder Recipes & Review
Bare Blends is a health and wellness company based out of Australia. The company works diligently to ensure that all of their blends including vegan proteins, whey proteins, and boosters are crafted using raw, natural wholefoods.
I find green smoothies to be so delicious and refreshing! They are very versatile in the ingredients that can be used to create them and they provide my body with many key nutrients. Smoothies are quick and easy to make. They are my go-to breakfast when I need to be out the door in 10 minutes. When I'm feeling sick they are perfect as they do not upset my stomach. They also taste amazing. I taste the flavors of the sweet fruits and I forget that there are any veggies inside.
One day I found myself in a YouTube rabbit hole of "What I eat in a day" videos. I discovered Tess Begg's channel & saw her using the Bare Blends Bare Greens Powder. Green smoothies are a staple in my diet so, I decided to give Bare Greens a try.
The vegan and gluten free blend contains a plethora of superfoods such as matcha, known for boosting energy, spirulina and chlorella, which are nutrient dense algae. It also contains barely grass and wheatgrass, which are anti-inflammatories, leafy greens such as spinach and kale, as well as lemon, apple, and mango. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with this product because it contains so many different superfoods. Purchasing all of these items separately would be very expensive.
Freeze dried techology is used to produce this blend. 7 grams of the Bare Greens Powder is the equivalent to 70 grams of fresh greens. Thats about the serving size of greens needed for a salad. It has a strong and earthy taste on its own if it is consumed with only water, but in a smoothie with additional fruit it is very undetectable.
I truly fell in love with this product. I enjoyed 14 days of wholesome smoothies without the stress of spending lots of money on fresh greens. I spent $29 AUD/$21 USD for 14 servings, which would be $1.50 a serving. I've spent more than that on 200 grams of fresh spinach for green smoothies in South Korea without getting all of the added benefits of the other superfoods included in this blend. I'm very pleased with this product and the brand. I will definitely purchase more products from this company in the future
